South End Water System Chlorination

Saturday, November 21, 2009 at 8:45 a.m. - FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

North Cowichan –As of 8:45 AM on November 21, as a precautionary measure, the District of North Cowichan has decided to chlorinate the South End Water System due to heavy rains and flooding in the Beverly Street area.

At this time, there are no known health risks.

Chlorination is expected to continue for several days to ensure that the water is safe to drink.
